主要从事第一性原理计算矿物高温高压物性,探讨地球内部成分和温度的分布及相关的各种过程。发展了计算量不到常规方法的十分之一的弹性方法,揭示地球内部多个波速结构异常的成因和地球内部水循环;获得了认识地球内部各种过程急需的矿物间多种元素平衡同位素分馏系数。在NatureNG、NC、PNAS、PRL、EPSL、GRL、GCA、JGR等杂志发表文章近100篇,文章被引用3000多次。

 学习和工作经历

1997年获四川大学水利水电工程系学士学位,2000年获浙江大学物理系硕士学位,2003年获清华大学物理系博士学位,2003-2005年清华大学高等研究中心博士后, 2005起先后在明尼苏达大学化工材料系和南加州大学化工材料系博士后,用第一性原理计算研究材料在高温高压下的物性。
