Prof. Roland Bürgmann is well-known geophysicist whose research focuses on active tectonics, lithospheric and upper mantle rheology. Prof. Bürgmann received his B.Sc (Bachelor of Science) from Universität Tübingen in Germany in 1987, M.Sc (Master of Science) from University of Colorado in USA in 1989, and his PhD from Stanford University in 1993.
