Prof. Maarten de Hoop received his B.Sc (1981) and M.Sc (1984) degrees in Utrecht University and PhD degree (1992) in Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. From 1992-1995, he was a senior research scientist and programme leader in Schlumberger Cambridge Research, Cambridge, England. From 1995-2005, he was a research assistant professor, associate professor and professor in the Center for Wave Phenomena (CWP) at Colorado School of Mines, USA.
