This presentation will talk about the volcano monitoring in the Alaska-Aleutian arc, which is the region contains more than 6% of the world’s active volcanoes and, although they are highly active, their remote location makes them relatively poorly studied. Special focus will be placed on the geodetic measurement of active volcanoes using satellite radar interferometry. In addition to that, the talk will also briefly cover many other remote sensing techniques, e.g., optical and thermal remote sensing.
