马晓冬 美国威斯康星大学-麦迪逊 地质工程博士,斯坦福大学 地球物理系 博士后。受国家海外高层次人才项目支持,2022年11月回国工作。回国前为瑞士苏黎世联邦理工学院 (ETH Zürich) 地球科学系讲师,瑞士能源研究中心高级研究员,Bedretto深部地学实验室地质力学负责人。主要研究方向为地壳应力,非常规油气、地热储层地质力学,诱发地震和实验岩石力学。研究方法基于跨学科、多尺度的地质力学理论体系,综合现场与室内观测、理论模型和数据分析。美国岩石力学学会(ARMA) 终身会员,2018年未来领袖入选者,2020年获ARMA杰出贡献奖(首届)。现担任国际岩石力学期刊Rock Mechanics Bulletin (RMB)副主编,Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering (RMRE)编委,国际岩石力学协会(ISRM)地壳应力与地震专委会委员。主持瑞士自然科学基金(SNSF)、瑞士教育科研秘书处(SERI)、欧盟科研基金(Horizon2020)、中国石油勘探开发研究院国际合作等项目。

I have been broadly educated in Earth sciences and geological engineering, on three continents (Asia, Europe and North America). I am interested to connect geomechanics fundamentals (e.g., friction, poroelasticity, time-dependency) with geo-engineering applications (e.g., geo-structures, geo-resources and geo-hazards), through the main research theme related to crustal stress and its spatio-temporal variations. I combine laboratory and field observations, physics-based models and data analytics to tackle modern challenges of geomechanics. I am fully committed to excellence in research, teaching, and science communication.
